1. Who we are

Dog Biz Coach is an independent publisher of free dog calculators, breed profiles, and educational guides for pet owners and veterinary professionals. When we say "we" or "us" on this page, we mean the small editorial team that operates the site.

2. What we collect

We keep data collection to the minimum needed to run the site.

• Information you give us. If you subscribe to the newsletter, use the contact form, or leave feedback on a guide, we store the email address and message you send.
• Calculator inputs. Numbers you enter into the calculators (weight, age, chocolate amount, and similar) are processed in your browser to produce the result. We do not store your individual inputs against your identity.
• Automatic technical data. Standard server logs record the pages requested, browser type, approximate location, and referring URL. This helps us fix errors and understand which guides are useful.
• Cookies and analytics. We use privacy-friendly analytics to count visits and popular pages in aggregate. We do not build advertising profiles.

3. Why we use it

• Deliver the pages, calculators, and search you request.
• Send the weekly digest and respond to your messages when you ask us to.
• Measure which guides are helpful so we can improve them.
• Detect abuse, spam, and security incidents.

4. Legal bases

Where required by law, we rely on your consent for the newsletter and analytics cookies, our legitimate interest in running and improving the site for server logs, and contractual necessity when you send us a support request.

5. Sharing

We do not sell personal data. We share limited information only with the service providers that help us operate: our hosting platform, our email delivery provider for the newsletter, and our analytics provider. Each is bound by a data processing agreement and can only use the data on our instructions.

6. How long we keep it

Newsletter subscriber records are kept until you unsubscribe. Contact form messages are kept for up to twenty four months so we can follow up. Aggregated analytics are kept for up to twenty four months. Raw server logs are kept for up to thirty days.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you can ask us to access, correct, delete, or export the personal data we hold about you, and you can withdraw consent for marketing at any time. Write to hello@dogbizcoach.com and we will respond within thirty days.

8. Children

Our site is written to be readable by younger audiences, but it is not directed at children under thirteen and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has provided us with data, please contact us and we will remove it.

9. Security

We use TLS in transit, restrict administrative access to named team members, and limit the personal data we store. No online service is perfectly secure, but we work to protect the small amount of data we hold.

10. Changes

When this policy changes we update the date at the top of the page. Material changes are announced in the newsletter and on the homepage for at least fourteen days.
